We are London’s leading Knowledge of London (KoL) school, offering free knowledge classes at the Gett Drivers office at Angelgate, City road.

Courtney Connell - Co Founder

I gained my green badge in 1994, that was the proudest day of my life, then by 2001 I became a Knowledge of London examiner, incidently I was the first black person to become a Knowledge of London examiner in the history of the knowledge. I resigned from the PCO in 2007, that same year I started a knowledge school, this I believed was my true calling which is to help others, it is my intention to keep helping and maintaining the standards and the survival of the greatest Taxi service in the world. We aim to produce taxi drivers who are Ambassadors of London.

Tom Scullion - Co Founder

London cab driver for over 30 years during which time I have been involved in every aspect of the taxi trade from being a union representative to commercial activities, business development, charity's and driver welfare.The thing that drives me is my passion for the London cab trade. Last year we started a Taxi union. One of the challenges was to create a Knowledge school to preserve and protect the world's best taxi service. The Taxi Academy is up and running and is now completely independent from the union and is set to be a real asset for the cab trade which is one of my proudest achievements.

London cab driver since May 2023, very proud to work alongside Courtney Connell and Tom Scullion , two of the most influential people in the taxi trade. Proud to be part of the training team and passionate to help knowledge students seek glory and become one of londons finest, currently working on content like knowledge runs Blue Book and Blue Book 5s.

Lisa - Class Teacher

Lisa has been a taxi driver for more than five years. Her father, a black cab driver in London, gave her the idea to join the black taxi community. she now devotes her time to building the community of female London black cab drivers and leaving her own legacy of imparting "the knowledge" to other women!
